Zambia’s Copper Production Set to Rebound in 2025

Lusaka, Zambia – Zambia’s copper production is projected to rebound in 2025 following a series of government-led reforms aimed at revitalizing the mining sector. The Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development has indicated that policies focused on increasing foreign investment and reducing operational costs have already shown promising results.

Industry experts believe that easing tax burdens and improving regulatory frameworks will encourage more investment from multinational mining companies. “We anticipate a production increase of 10% by 2025, largely due to renewed investor confidence,” said Minister of Mines Paul Kabuswe.

Zambia, Africa’s second-largest copper producer, has faced declining output in recent years due to operational challenges and regulatory uncertainty. However, the recent policy shifts are expected to drive growth and maintain the country’s competitiveness in global copper markets.
