Zambian Firms Seal $30.1 Million in Deals at Angola’s FILDA Trade Fair
Luanda — The Zambian Development Agency (ZDA) has announced that Zambian companies secured an estimated US$30.1 million in trade deals during the 40th Edition of the Angola International Trade Fair (FILDA 2025).
The agreements reflect growing interest from Zambian businesses in expanding partnerships with Angolan companies across multiple sectors.
In a statement released Monday, the ZDA confirmed that 20 Zambian companies participated in a trade mission from July 24–26 in Luanda, signing agreements in industries including manufacturing, agro-processing, agriculture, mining, and construction.
Key areas of interest include the supply of cooking oil, cereals, honey, peanuts, agricultural fertilizers, engineering equipment, and services such as mining consultancy.
According to the agency, the mission aimed to strengthen bilateral trade ties, identify new business opportunities, and increase Zambian market presence in Angola. Activities included pre-arranged B2B meetings to promote partnerships, facilitate investments, and explore infrastructure projects, notably the Lobito Corridor.
The ZDA said FILDA 2025, held from July 22–27, offered Zambian businesses a platform to pursue regional partnerships, tap into broader export potential, and expand trade both within and beyond Angola.
On the Angolan side, the mission was supported by the Angolan Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX).
As Zambia’s primary economic development body, the ZDA is tasked with promoting and facilitating trade, investment, and business growth, while enhancing the country’s investment profile to attract capital, foster industrial growth, and create jobs.
