DISA Equipment – a long-established supplier of earthmoving and mining machinery in Southern Africa – has announced that it will trade exclusively under its registered name, DISA Equipment.
While the company remains the official distributor of Develon equipment, it will no longer use the Develon name as a trading identity. This strategic alignment is intended to reinforce clarity in the market, while preserving continuity across its product and service offering.
“DISA Equipment has always been the legal name behind the quality branded machines our customers rely on. This update simply brings our external branding in line with that reality. We are not changing ownership or altering our product range. Rather, we are clarifying who we are so our clients and partners can identify us more directly and consistently,” explains Mark Bedford, Managing Director of DISA Equipment. “The name DISA Equipment has been part of the company’s evolution since 2008, following earlier trading as Doosan Infracore South Africa and Daewoo Heavy Industries South Africa. With this announcement, all public-facing platforms – including the company’s website, social media accounts and signage – will be revised to reflect the DISA Equipment brand.
“With the recent brand transition from Doosan to Develon, we’ve strategically aligned our operations under our registered company name of DISA Equipment. This move reflects our broad product range of Develon excavators, wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks; Tonly Equipment and Everdigm hammers and attachments and positions us for continued growth across multiple equipment lines.
