Tertiary Minerals hails new copper mineralisation in Zambia

Tertiary Minerals PLC on Monday reported the discovery of a new shallow zone of copper mineralisation at a Zambia asset.

Analysis indicated the presence of additional copper mineralisation in a new area called the Western Zone, 900 metres west-southwest of the Discovery Zone, at the Mushima North project in Zambia.

“These results continue to support our wider geological model and belief that the Mushima North project has the potential to host a much larger mineralised system than has been delineated to date,”

said Managing Director Richard Belcher.

The mineral development firm, with projects in Zambia, the US state of Nevada, and Sweden, expects additional results from the drilling as well as certified laboratory results and initial metallurgical test work to start soon.

“I look forward to updating shareholders on these results as we advance the Mushima North project with the aim of producing a Mineral Resource Estimate before the end of this year,” Belcher added.

Tertiary Minerals shares were up 14% at 0.074 pence in London on Monday afternoon.
